Trust & Safety
TalosTV is built to create a calmer, more responsible media environment for children.
We are not designed to maximise screen time.
We are designed to structure it.
Our Responsibility
Children's media affects attention, behaviour, and emotional regulation. Most platforms are built to optimise for engagement. TalosTV takes a different approach.
We focus on the environment around the content, not just the content itself. That means pacing, structure, endings, and household control are part of the product, not afterthoughts.
Structured Sessions
TalosTV is session-based. There is no infinite scroll, no endless browsing, and no autoplay chain that keeps stretching the experience without a clear decision point.
- Every session has a clear start.
- Each session contains a defined content block.
- Regulation breaks are built into the rhythm.
- Every session ends naturally and clearly.
This reduces overstimulation and decision fatigue for children and parents.
Regulation Breaks
Breaks are core to the system. They interrupt passive viewing, reduce cognitive load, and create space for movement, reset, or reflection.
TalosTV does not use breaks to extend engagement. They exist to reset attention and help keep sessions calmer and more sustainable.
Age-Aware Content
Content is selected with age suitability in mind, including pacing, intensity, emotional tone, and imitation risk.
Children should not be shown content outside their developmental range. Age is a strong control layer in TalosTV, not a loose suggestion.
Curated Allow-List
TalosTV is not an unrestricted content platform. We use an allow-list approach so content must pass review before it can appear in structured sessions.
Items are mapped to age bands and topics deliberately. That is a safety-oriented design choice, not a catalogue limitation.
No Addictive Design Patterns
TalosTV does not use streaks, reward loops, autoplay spirals, up-next escalation, or retention traps.
We do not compete by stimulation. We aim to provide a calmer and more governed alternative to engagement-led design.
Parent Visibility
Parents can see what was watched, how long sessions lasted, and whether breaks were taken.
Parents remain in control of household rules, duration, and content settings. TalosTV is designed to keep parents informed without turning family media use into constant monitoring pressure.
Content Safety
TalosTV presents content from third-party platforms such as YouTube and educational providers. TalosTV does not own this content.
What TalosTV does control is selection and delivery. Individual items are reviewed, selected, and placed into a governed viewing environment. If content is flagged, it can be hidden for a child or blocked for a household.
Data Safety
TalosTV minimises data collection. We do not sell user data, and we do not run behavioural advertising.
Children do not have independent accounts. The parent remains the controlling account holder and household decision-maker.
For Parents
TalosTV is designed to reduce friction around screen time by creating predictable routines and clearer endings.
The aim is not perfection. The aim is a better default that reduces negotiation, lowers conflict, and makes calmer screen time easier to sustain.
For Creators
TalosTV supports high-quality content and preserves attribution. We do not hide source platforms, and we do not present creator work as if it were our own.
We surface content in a more responsible environment. Creators and rights holders with questions or concerns are welcome to contact TalosTV.
Our Commitment
Before shipping a feature, TalosTV asks whether it increases stimulation unnecessarily, supports structured viewing, and builds trust with families.
That commitment guides product decisions across sessions, breaks, controls, and content handling. TalosTV exists to make children's media use healthier, calmer, and more deliberate.
